Rugby league figures are set to come together for Mahdlo Youth Zone’s Rugby Dinner with proceeds supporting the charity’s work with young people across Oldham.
The event is returning for its second year and takes place during Mahdlo’s 15th anniversary year on Friday, October 9.
Hosted by Terry Flanagan MBE and Kevin Fitzpatrick, the dinner will feature a number of established figures from professional rugby league.
Speakers include former Wigan player and Wales head coach Martin Hall, former St Helens and Salford player Mark Flanagan, Wakefield Trinity player Jack Sinfield and three-time Lance Todd Trophy winner Marc Sneyd.
The evening will include a drinks reception, two course meal and entertainment, alongside stories about the speakers’ experiences on and off the pitch.
Proceeds from the event’s ticket sales will help to fund Mahdlo’s work, contributing to its programme of sports, arts, mentoring and support for young people across the borough.
Oldham-based business M&C Risk is sponsoring the Rugby Dinner for a second consecutive year.

“Bringing people together around a sport that holds such an important place in Oldham, while raising money for Mahdlo to support the next generation in our community, is what makes this event so special.”
