Real life play comes to Oldham

Oldham library is all set to captivate the audience as it stages a one-of-a-kind comedy play.

Live@TheLibrary: Life’s Little VicToms blends theatre with situation comedy that is hilariously developed from true stories.

The show is set to grip crowds as they follow Vicky and Tom, a middle-aged couple, in two very different scenarios as they tackle the ups and downs of everyday life.

The play follows Tom and Vicky as they navigate the key factors of life, including love, laughter, and death, all while reminiscing and bickering. Hand in hand, heart to heart, and with a positive outlook, life goes on, and Tom and Vicky are ready to embrace it.

The play’s unique style masterfully breaks the fourth wall, drawing the audience into the narrative.

In act one, they are on a caravan holiday to France, filled with one mishap after another and then in act two, when one has been hitched as long as Tom and Vicky the spark dwindles, so they decide to add some sizzle to their love life, leading to some hilariously awkward moments.

Director Kelly-Marie Singleton - a first-class graduate in acting for stage and screen from Staffordshire University - has made her professional directing debut with "Life's Little VicToms”.

Kelly said she has had the pleasure of working with two incredibly talented actors who brought the script to life, giving the relationship a realistic feel, allowing them to sympathize and relate in more ways than one.

The show, which is suitable for audiences 16 years and above, is being held on Thursday, February 13 from 7pm-8.30pm. Tickets cost £6.
