Pedestrian suffers serious injuries following collision

A busy Chadderton road has been sealed off following a road traffic collision early this morning.

Police are investigating the crash involving an elderly pedestrian and a motorcyclist on Middleton Road, close to the Asda store. 

Emergency services were called out to the area at around 9.35am. 

It is believed that the pedestrian has suffered serious injuries following the serious incident. 

The area between Middleton Road, Milne Street and Melbourne Street has been taped off while officers investigate the collision.
