Thirty-eight proud and delighted volunteers with Oldham Mountain Rescue Team have been recognised and included alongside other emergency service personnel who are recipients of medals in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Back in May, the excited team welcomed Sir Warren Smith KCVO KStJ JP, Her Majesty the Queen’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, to their headquarters to present the Platinum Jubilee medals to team members.
The team's leader Rob Tortoishell said: "Our thanks to Sir Warren Smith KCVO KStJ JP, Her Majesty the Queen’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester for attending to present the medals and for his continued support.
"Congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen from all at Oldham Mountain Rescue on an unprecedented 70 years of service."
