A higher education and apprenticeship fair at Oldham Hulme Grammar School has been hailed a huge success.
The annual event, held at the school’s historic main hall, was open to all students in Years 10 to 13, as well as the wider local community.
Marc Hornby, director of developmet and public benefit at the Chamber Road School, said the fair was ‘excellent’.

He added: “We had over 400 pupils attend the fair - our biggest attendance yet - both Hulme pupils and pupils from surrounding senior schools across Oldham.
“Many parents also attended and we're already making plans for an even bigger event next year.”

Some of the 40 exhibitors in attendance included prestigious institutions such as Newcastle University, Imperial College London, Durham, Salford and the University of Manchester, alongside leading employers like Muller, AJ Bell, Fletchers, and Weightmans. Students also had the opportunity to explore a wide range of academic and vocational pathways.
The fair was organised as part of Hulme’s ongoing commitment to public benefit and outreach in the community.
