A 39-year-old man has been charged after being found in possession of a lock knife in Derker.
Lee Stephen Bennett, of Kipling Road, was stopped and searched when officers found him with the bladed item yesterday.
He has been charged and bailed with possession of a bladed article, and he will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court at a later date.
Operation Vulcan is set to continue with proactive patrols of the area using all the powers available to rid the area of knives and weapons.
