Last week my friend and I attended Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger's Drift at the Opera House in Manchester.
We both thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was very much a typical Midsomer Murders story, with lots of twists and turns, lots of suspects and more than a few redherrings along the way.
All of the cast were very good. The standout performances were DCI Barnaby and Lucy Bellringer, who played the friend of the murder victim. Both gave excellent performances and really brought their characters to life.
I spent much of the show trying to work out who was responsible. I had several guesses, but every one of them was wrong! The story kept me guessing right until the end.
The show was gripping, but it was also very funny. There were lots of witty moments that had us all laughing, which balanced the mystery perfectly.
The ending came as a complete surprise to me and rounded off a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
I would definitely recommend this show, we really enjoyed it, it was entertaining, full of surprises, and all of the actors and actresses were excellent.
