Prolific shoplifter faces arrest if entering town centre

A prolific High Peak thief has been banned from his local town centre for almost three years.

Jason Whysall, 34, of Kinder Way in Fairfield, risks immediate arrest if he steps into the heart of Buxton after being caught stealing from several businesses in the area.

The conditions of his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) mean that he must leave any shop if staff ask him to.

PCSO Linda Cook said: “The CBO has been put in place to reduce the risk of further criminal activity and the impact on the community.”

“This order will remain in place until November 2027, and failure to comply will result in further arrest.”
