LOVERS of brass music will have an extra contest to look forward to on Whit Friday (next week on June 13) when Stalybridge Celtic rejoins the fold, taking the number of competitions held across Tameside to 11.
The tradition – often described as the greatest free show on earth – dates back to the late 19th century.
