From Monday onwards, artist of the week on Tameside Radio’s Local Music Spotlight feature is Gracie May.
The 17-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist has been playing live music for almost three years, and is influenced by the likes of Amy Macdonald, The Cranberries, Sam Fender, and Catfish and the Bottlemen. Gracie started out playing in local venues and at local events, and soon made a name for herself as a rising star.
Her love for music is obvious: “I have learned so much since starting, I’ve met some wonderful people on the way, and I am still excited for the journey ahead. Music has always been my passion as it makes me smile and, more importantly, makes other people smile.”
Her singles include ‘Don’t Wish Your Life Away’ and ‘Star-Crossed’, both available on Spotify. Gracie is a great person to be around and has a huge future ahead.
Gracie will also be playing live at our next Indie Rock n Roll Local Music Spotlight Live night at Whittles at Tokyo Live Music Venue in Oldham on Friday August 8th. Tickets are on sale now.
Gracie May and her music will be played on every daytime show on Tameside Radio from 6am on Monday.
She also joined the team on The Dave Sweetmore Show last Monday night; you can listen again via the OnDemand section of the website.
