Last week tickets went on sale and the line-up was announced for the UKs largest indoor tribute festival, with the announcement that some of indie and dance music's most loved real-life icons will also be on the bill when the iconic Manchester Adored festival arrives at Bowlers Arena on Saturday October 25th.

After a jam packed summer of outdoor festivals, Adored Events will be ending the festival season with one of the biggest events in Manchester music fans calendar, and although October may seem like a while away, it's no secret how quickly these huge events which take place in the four arenas at legendary venue Bowlers sell. I will be hosting and DJing the main stage, on what is always one of my favourite days of the year and joining me for a DJ set will be Happy Mondays and Black Grape hero Shaun Ryder. Playing live on the main stage will be The Farm, who will be performing a set packed with anthems including 'Altogether Now' and 'Groovy Train'. Also on the main stage will be Stone Roses tribute 'Resurrection', Kasabian tribute 'Kazabian', Killers tribute 'The Fillers', Oasis tribute 'The Oasis Experience', Arctic Monkeys tribute 'Arctic Monkeyz', Happy Mondays tribute 'Appy Mundays', Noel Gallagher tribute 'Noel Gallaghers High Flying Carpets', and Gerry Cinnamon tribute 'The Gerry Cinnamon Experience'. In the Acid House arena a huge line up of DJs will be playing including New Order and Joy Division legend Peter Hook, Graeme Park, K-Klass, Daz from 808 State, Paul & Ben Taylor, Adam Guy, Lee Crank, Jay Potter and Alan Hartley. The Manchester Beer Emporium will be hosted by Leo B Stanley and will include tributes to Queen, Madness, Blur, New Order, Take That, Queen and Courteeners, plus a DJ set from Inspiral Carpets Clint Boon, and the guilty pleasure arena will feature tributes to Abba, Culture Club, Human League and Spandau Ballet, and be hosted by Tameside Radio's Laura Beth. Manchester Adored at Bowlers is like no other event, it's an experience in which everybody needs to be part of. With the usual annual March event not happening this year due to venue availability, October's Manchester Adored will be the only indoor 'Adored' event this year, so will be even more special than ever. Details on all of the Adored Festivals can be found at www.adoredevents.co.uk, and tickets for Manchester Adored are on sale now online on skiddle. With a huge line up of legendary DJ's and the some of the UK's favourite tribute bands, alongside Shaun Ryder and The Farm, Manchester Adored 2025 will surely be a highlight of the year for many. Don't miss out!

Two of Greater Manchester's nicest men in grassroots music have come together and launched a project which is simply brilliant. The greatly titled 'Art For Mcr' is the idea of The Information Highway guitarist Lee Gallagher and Black Sonic Revolver frontman Leon Kenny, two great bands who have both appeared on Tameside Radio as Band Of The Week on our Local Music Spotlight feature.

For a decade The Clash gave the music scene songs and live shows which would ensure they would live forever as one of the most influential and important British bands of all time. Forming in London in 1976, the classic Clash line up of Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Nicky Headon were one of the first UK bands in a punk scene which would change the course of music forever.
